Hey everybody! Colin here, I'll be doing all of Lola's typing, queen puppy couldn't be bothered with such a mundane task. Sending pictures through email wasn't working, so I figured this blog would be the easiest way to keep people up to date on all things LOLA. I should update pretty frequently, as she is growing fast... Enjoy!

Lola's recovery

Lola was spayed this morning, I believe 1 puppy is enough, I don't need any more... She came through surgery ok, and will be wearing a lamp shade for the next week or so (which she is not too fond of...). All things considered, I think she is doing great. She acts like she feels alright, albeit a little drugged... I have to keep her from running when we go out, she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She has already eaten one of her "get well" bones, and she loves her new squeaky monkey.

This is Lola's new favorite place to sleep... I can't leave the room without her knowing. Also I think she is trying to act as a barrier to keep me in, since she wont move when I go for the door.

Me and Little Bit went to the park yesterday, where we met a very attractive Swede with a 5 month old puppy named Maya. Lola was thrilled! Me and Agnis sat back and talked while our canines proceeded to have a truly epic puppy battle. The skirmish ended at a draw about two hours latter with the onset of dusk. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of them :).

big day at the park

  1. I took Lola up to the park today to burn off all the energy she had pent up while I was in class. It was like one giant "connect the dots" puzzle. After meeting one of her fuzzy peers, it was a B-line to the next closest canine. She HAD to meet every dog at the park. The only other dog that was down for her supercharged puppy play was another brindled pit bull puppy named Loki. Lola, being half brindled pit, half lab, was a good two inches taller than the pure-bred, but damn that dog was fast. She chased Loki for about an hour, and never got close unless Loki wanted her to. Lola came straight home and passed out for two hours. I think I'll take her up there early, to wear her out so we can prepare for the beach! cheers! -dc
